Now let’s get into the delicious matcha recipes I have been loving recently and their amazing health benefits…
Spearmint Matcha Americano
Iced Black Cherry Matcha Latte
Watermelon Coconut Matcha Slushie
Coconut Water with Matcha Cold Foam
Black Sesame Matcha Latte
Spearmint Matcha Americano

Spearmint tea has been shown to reduce androgens (male hormones) like testosterone, which can help ease PCOS symptoms such as hormonal acne and hirsutism (unwanted facial hair). I love pairing the skin-clearing power of spearmint with matcha—another skincare superstar. Matcha is rich in antioxidants, especially EGCGs, which can help protect against premature aging, reduce wrinkles and sunspots (yes, please!), and soothe irritated skin for a clearer, more radiant complexion. It may also support collagen and elastin production, helping maintain skin firmness and elasticity.
Ingredients
2 tsp dried loose leaf spearmint leaves
1 cup (8 oz) just-boiled water (around 190F)
1/4 cup milk of choice (I use dairy-free to preserve antioxidant benefits)
Instructions
Add the spearmint leaves to a tea infuser or teapot. Pour the hot water over the leaves. Cover and let steep for at least 10 minutes. If you’d like to sere it iced, let it cool to room temp.
In a separate bowl, whisk the matcha powder with the milk of choice (if you’re going to serve it hot, heat the milk before whisking) until frothy and smooth.
Strain the spearmint tea then pour the whisked matcha over the brewed spearmint tea. Serve hot or iced.
Iced Black Cherry Matcha Latte

I found a giant bag of organic sweet black cherries at Costco and since then I have been adding them to everything. Making a cherry milk as a base for matcha and coffee has been one of my favorites. Not only does the green tea flavor combine perfectly with the sweet, slightly tart flavor of the fruit, cherries also add some amazing health benefits. Black cherries are rich in anthocyanins, which fight oxidative stress and may help improve skin clarity and elasticity. The polyphenols in both matcha and cherries support gut health and may calm internal inflammation, which often shows up on the skin.
Ingredients
Heaping 1/4 cup sweet black cherries (I used frozen)
1/2 cup milk of choice (I like homemade pumpkin seed milk or cashew milk)
Pinch sea salt
1/4 cup hot water (for whisking matcha)
Ice
1–2 tsp maple syrup or honey (optional)
Instructions
In a blender combine the cherries, milk of choice and sea salt. Blend until combined and smooth. You can strain this mixture if you want a super smooth result, but I don’t find it necessary.
Whisk the matcha powder with hot water until smooth.
Fill a glass with ice, pour in the cherry milk, then top with the matcha.
Stir gently and sweeten to taste.
Watermelon Coconut Matcha Slushie

I highly recommend turning any leftover watermelon into ice cubes so that you can whip up a refreshing watermelon slushie in 30 seconds. This matcha slushie is hydrating, refreshing, and packed with skin-supporting nutrients. Watermelon is full of water and lycopene, which help fight inflammation and keep skin glowing. Coconut water provides electrolytes like potassium and magnesium for better hydration and digestion. Matcha adds a gentle energy boost and is rich in EGCG antioxidants that help protect the skin from sun damage and premature aging.
Ingredients
1 cup frozen watermelon cubes
1/2 cup coconut water
Pinch sea salt
Juice of 1/4 lime (optional)
1/4 cup hot water (185F)
Instructions
In a blender, combine the frozen watermelon, coconut water, and sea salt.
In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder with the hot water until smooth.
Pour the watermelon mixture into a glass and add the matcha. Taste and sweeten if needed.
Coconut Water with Matcha Cold Foam

If you want a creamy beverage but don’t want it to be a matcha with tons of milk, try this out. This drink is a refreshing, skin-loving combo that hydrates and nourishes from the inside out. Coconut water is packed with electrolytes like potassium and magnesium, helping to support hydration, digestion, and clear skin. The creamy matcha cold foam adds a satisfying creaminess.
Ingredients
1 cup chilled coconut water
Ice
2 tbsp milk of choice
2 tbsp heavy cream or coconut cream
Instructions
Fill a glass with ice and pour in the chilled coconut water.
In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder with the milk and cream until light and foamy.
Spoon or pour the matcha cold foam on top of the coconut water. Stir and enjoy!
Black Sesame Matcha Latte

Black sesame flavor cannot be beat and this delicious beverage also has some fun beauty benefits! In Traditional Chinese Medicine black sesame is known for its support for liver, kidney & blood health and it may help with graying hair, thinning hair, and support skin health. Black sesame is rich in calcium, zinc, healthy fats, and antioxidants, which support skin health, hormone health, and even hair strength.
Ingredients
1/4 cup hot water
1 cup milk of choice
1 1/2 - 2 tbsp black sesame paste (let me know if you want me to post a recipe for this!)
1–2 tsp maple syrup or honey (optional)
Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
Whisk the matcha powder with the hot water until smooth and frothy.
In a small pot, warm the milk over low heat. Stir in the black sesame paste, sweetener and sea salt until fully combined and creamy. For an iced version, blend the milk with the sesame paste until combined.
Pour the sesame milk mixture into a mug, then add the whisked matcha on top.
Stir gently, sprinkle with crushed sesame seeds if desired, and enjoy!
Enjoy your (benefit-packed) matcha!
